There's Still a Long Way to Walk...

Every day is a new day. I've heard that phrase time and time again but there are days that I'm not quite sure that's the feeling. The goal, of course is to make every day unique yet how many days pass us that seem like carbon copies of the past?

The truth is, it takes a lot of work to make days stand out among the rest and we're not always up to the challenge of making that effort. The good news is that whether or not we make a day it's own, time keeps moving and there's always a road to choose ahead of us. I'm guilty of it myself, thinking that maybe it's just better to accept my present fate and not question life so much but the more I read about those that conquered worthy things, those individuals questioned plenty and followed new paths before them, often roads that were not only less traveled but never traveled at all.

Today is Wednesday. It's rainy. I'm not as inspired as I'd like to be. How could admit that after all I've written? It's simple, I find it easier to move from a place I don't want to be when I admit where I actually am and can move on from there. So I'm uninspired, so what? Some days you feel like taking the world by storm and sometimes you just feel like you in the storm.

I see the road before me and various forks but a few steps into that road. Some take me through comfortable yet unexciting journeys while others are a roller coaster of adventures and as uncomfortable as a wool sweater in the middle of the summer.

Which road is it going to be today?
