When Inspiration is Far Away...

Sometimes it's around every corner, but other times, the muse of inspiration hides away as if playing a game of hide n' seek.

The night is quiet and nothing save for the occasional car that passes outside disturbs the serenity. You would think that a night such as this would provide the perfect backdrop for any number of creative activities yet for some unknown reason, that fountain is dry.

And so with that, I offer two questions on a night such as this. The first would be "Do we always have to be inspired or do we sometimes need to push through despite inspiration?" and the second question is "How do we get inspiration flowing again or is it out of our control?"

I am fully aware that these questions have no definitive answers but I always like trying to see things from a different perspective. I am currently reading Grinding it Out, the autobiography of Ray Croc, the founder of McDonalds and I always find it fascinating to see how others who have accomplished so much, organized their time, found inspiration and kept going despite setbacks and rough patches.

So I will see what happens tonight and as my personal response to the first question, I feel that sometimes we need to push through and just do what we have to do. Inspiration will have time to catch up but I don't feel like waiting for it to show up.

have an inspired night my friends but even if you're not, hope you keep doing your thing anyway

much inspired love
